Opal self patterning yarn is perfect for pixie hats.   This cute hat has a smart rolled edge and a square shaped top.  The patterning on the yarn shows up really clearly when you knit larger rounds.  
The pattern has instructions for making the hat on either straight needles or double pointrd needles to knit in the round.
Sizes are for newborn, toddler, child, small adult, and med-large adult.
Total amount of yarn required for an adult hat is 35gms of opal yarn.  Opal yarn says 3ply on label and on pattern, however it is a fingering yarn in NZ terms.
